Zonta stands for women’s rights. We advocate for equality, education and an end to child marriage and gender-based violence. Zonta expands opportunities for women and girls through our international education programs and service projects. We shall not rest until women’s rights are recognized as human rights.

What is the message of the Zonta?

The advocacy campaign “Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women” was launched in 2012, to raise awareness of the global pandemic of women’s rights violations and has united Zonta clubs worldwide in conducting impactful advocacy actions to fight violence against women and gender inequality.

What does the Zonta group advocate?

Zonta advocacy aims to influence the making and implementation of laws, as well as general attitudes and behaviors. Zonta advocacy promotes real equality, not formal equality alone. Zonta seeks to take fact-based actions, to highlight the root causes of problems and to present solutions with proven results.
