What’s the difference between 215 and 205 tires?

The tires that came with the car are 215/55R16, but found a set of 4 winter tires 205/55R16. Is it okay to use the (4) 205 VS the “standard” 215? I realize that there will be a slight difference between the actual speed and speedometer. but a 1-2 km/h difference isn’t going to make that much of a difference to me.
