Airbourne will not take to the skies this summer. The decision to postpone the 2021 event has not been taken lightly, however we know that it is the responsible one to make taking into account the continuing forms of social distancing to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors.

The four days of Airbourne are always very popular and the unique topography of Eastbourne and the surrounding downland not only offer a superb backdrop but also a number of different views of the four day flying display.

Nevertheless, the Breitling Jet Team led a star cast for the first of the four days of flying at the Sussex resort. The show usually includes three or four daily performances by the Red Arrows but in 2019 the team are on a tour of the USA and Canada for nine weeks in August and September so are not available for Eastbourne’s Airbourne.
